Tender invitation 24-002 NAFC The National Association of Friendship Center Phase 2 Addition and renovations
The National Association of Friendship Centre has retained MBC to act as their Construction Manager for the renovate and construction and addition in a second phase of the Project at 275 MacLaren Street, in Ottawa. The existing building is a heritage building, originally constructed as a home in 1887-1888 and known as Pope House. The Project is to aim to renovate and update the existing facility. The existing facility will have interior and exterior renovations and accessibility improvement. In Phase 2 of the project , there will be an addition complete with accessibility ramp.
This tender package is for the following scopes of work only: The scope of this phase 2; involves the demolition of the existing boardroom section of the building and to build a new addition. and also renovating the existing building. Some special features are incorporated in the design of this project that makes it very interesting. This new addition is a CLT timber system with wood frame structure c/w Charred wood siding and aluminum windows, with a mod bit roofing. Exterior Wood decking and railings, and landscaping .
