MBC would like to invite you to bid on the following tender Wigwamen affodable housing new building

The proposed affordable housing development will comprise a six-storey building with an approximate gross floor area (GFA) of 53,000 square feet. The ground floor will accommodate the Gloucester Emergency Food Cupboard (GEFC), which will
operate independently with its own dedicated entrance, commercial kitchen, cafeteria/dining area, and office space. GEFC will be served by a separate HVAC system and will have independent access for deliveries and waste management. Also located on the ground floor are offices for Wigwamen and March of Dimes, along with a multipurpose room designated for tenant use. Additional service spaces, as well as garbage and recycling facilities, are integrated into the ground floor layout. The upper five floors will contain a total of 50 one-bedroom residential units, with 10 units per floor. The building will be constructed using non-combustible materials, main structure will consist of a concrete structural system with infill exterior steel stud walls with different cladding materials. Interior walls will be of steel studs as well and gypsum board. The foundation will consist of a raft slab, with the ground floor constructed as a concrete slab on engineered fill above the raft slab. The site will be enhanced with new landscaping, including planting beds, a concrete pedestrian pathway, site lighting and security cameras, and a 70-space surface parking asphalted area to support residents and visitors. A community garden area will be provided for GEFC use.
