This Design-Build project consisted of a new indoor track & field facility for training the Gryphon varsity team. The project is designed with a pre-engineered Honco frame-less steel shell forty feet high. The building includes a four lane 200m compliant running track with shot put, long jump, triple jump, pole vault, and high jump areas.
The inner oval incorporates a state of the art Polytan brand synthetic field and is protected by the use of protective netting system suspended to the structural ceiling panels of the building. Additionally, this building is complete with locker rooms, washrooms, storage rooms and administrative offices. Also included in this project was a complete site works package that saw landscaping and a storm water management system, along with perimeter fencing. This project was selected by Athletics Canada to be the first Centre of Excellence in the country, winning the award in 2018.
